Ash, ask for a copy of the debt in writing. I got a same call from this number today and told them that I am not confirming any information over the phone. They refused to send anything in writing so I refused to talk to them further. They said my case will be down loaded to the court on Monday. This is a scam. File a complaint with ic3.gov and the Federal Trade Comission.
Someone name Donnie called my from this number at work and at home. A month ago they said if I don't appear in court that Monday they will be able to collect $5000 and freeze my bank account for some bogus advance loan they said I had. I asked why I have received any correspondence on the matter if what they say is true. I told them I would be more than happy to see them in court and show proof that I never received money from them.
Second come a month later at home. Again they threaten that I should appear in court on Monday or settle the matter over the phone. They actually wanted me to give them my bank information to pay a false debt. When I asked for the company name and address to have my lawyer look into the matter, THEY HUNG UP ON ME.
This number keeps calling my cell phone number requesting to speak with an Anthony something or other. I have never picked up the call and they always leave me the same voicemail telling this Anthony character that he must contact them for the fee that he is being charged for some court involved suit he is a part of. I called the number back today after being harassed for the past 4 weeks with the same message every single saturday and sunday. Whomever answered the phone said f*** you and hung up on me.
Good to know it's not just me being annoyed by these people.
