"IT" called me and leave a nasty message from the IRS. I called back to let them know they left the message for someone by the name of Brian Johnson and it was the wrong person. "HE" or maybe I should again say "IT" said he would remove my number. It was only 15 minutes later that "IT" called me back and again I said no Brian Johnson lives here and I don't know a Brian Johnson. "IT" had the nerve to ask me it I was sure. BOYYYYY did I read him his rights and let him, "IT" know about his family tree!!! He hung up and I called him back and needless to say, "IT" won't answer my phone calls so that I can tell him about his roots now that "IT" know about "ITS" family tree!!! I WANT "IT TO CALL ME BACK AGAIN AND I WANT IT TO ANSWER ITS PHONE!!!! NOBODY CALLS ME A LIAR!!!!!! Just called back and let them know he was a fake and he said, it takes time to get these numbers off and to be patience! HA!
Yep, I got the same call. Jim Swanson with a heavy accent asked for my husband and said that it was an emergency. I knew he was full of it but wanted to play a bit and congratulated him on having his job during the government shut down. He said that "those of us pursuing criminals are not shut". Ok, love bucket. He asked our attorney name, I asked why he needed it, he asked if we have an attorney, I asked why, he said "Listen you stupid b*tch, we can do this all f*cking day." Because, you know, IRS agents are foul-mouthed that way. :-/
Received a call this morning from John Smith who was calling from tel# 530-289-6310, He asked to speak to me and I told him that I was not home. He asked me to take down his name and telephone number and have "me" call him back. He said he was calling from the FEDERAL IRS. A few minutes later, I called back and John Smith was not available. Danny Peters said he could help. He wanted to know if I had a lawyer and if so he wanted my lawyers phone number. I did not give him that information. He said I owed back taxes from 2002-2011 and that legal documents were sent to me last month informing me that the entire amount would need to be paid in full. He tried to scare me by saying that I would be arrested. He continued his scare tactic while I just listened. I said I did not receive any documents and he claimed he had a sign receipt from UPS that I did. IRS sends letters, documents throught the US Mail only. That's when he slipped up.
Now the fun part begins. also told him I was an investigator with the real IRS and that we are aware of this scam stemming from India and that his operation was going to be raided and that him and all his phony agents were going to jail and were going to be charged under the US Federal Gov't laws for Extortion.
He hung up and now no one is answering the phone. if you get a call from the Federal IRS from someone with an India accent,HANG UP and DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. This is a SCAM. Protect your personal information and do not give any personal information.... especially your SS#. I hope this helps someone.
Got a call from 530 289-6310 about an hour ago. Sounded Indian or Asian and that he was with the IRS about "a problem with my tax return" and to please call the number above with further instructions. When I challenged him, he hung up on me. When I called the number back, another man with the same kind of accent answered the phone as "Notifications." When I challenged him, he called me a " $2 [***] who needs to go back to the streets." He continued to talk over me non-stop with the same phrase until I hung up.
i did the same thing when they called, but i went one step futher i called them back every ten min for a total of 55 times in a row just to screw with them i cannot believe our goverment who has been aware of this for a long time cant stop this harrassment i feel sorry for the people who dont know any better and that have fallen for this. i bet if they called the white house if this crap it would be traced down. bad part is they called back today while the gov. is in shut down using a different name and number so the fun begins in ten minutes i cleared my evening so i can sit here and call them back all night lol
