"IT" called me and leave a nasty message from the IRS. I called back to let them know they left the message for someone by the name of Brian Johnson and it was the wrong person. "HE" or maybe I should again say "IT" said he would remove my number. It was only 15 minutes later that "IT" called me back and again I said no Brian Johnson lives here and I don't know a Brian Johnson. "IT" had the nerve to ask me it I was sure. BOYYYYY did I read him his rights and let him, "IT" know about his family tree!!! He hung up and I called him back and needless to say, "IT" won't answer my phone calls so that I can tell him about his roots now that "IT" know about "ITS" family tree!!! I WANT "IT TO CALL ME BACK AGAIN AND I WANT IT TO ANSWER ITS PHONE!!!! NOBODY CALLS ME A LIAR!!!!!! Just called back and let them know he was a fake and he said, it takes time to get these numbers off and to be patience! HA!
Same type of calls. They usually call I the afternoon and if I don't answer they will continue to call repetitively, until I finally answer because they tie up my phone. They call back to back for HOURS. like I'm on freaking speed dial. They will leave messages stating they are the IRS and they need my attorney's number. Finally I gave them the sheriffs office number because they were harrassing me to the point of tears. Telling me they are going to seize my property's. I continued to ask questions about him and he got angry and said he will see me in court. Man has very strong Indian accent and is hard to understand. Is rude and badgering. Do not give them any information. Big scam.
This is a SCAM! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFO!!!
My client received a message and returned the call. George Garcia calling from the Internal Revenue Service Department of the IRS (does this department even make sense!). Taxes are deficient and need to call ASAP to avoid legal action.
When she returned call they talked to her (the IRS would NEVER do this without power of attorney). She explained they were not deficient and no attorney existed and even if they did she wouldn't give them the name. They said they had a court case against her and they would see her in court.
I called the number and it answered Investigations of Daniel Peters (feel sorry for him!). When I told them I was returning a call they wanted to know what number. I told them I didn't know I had 3 numbers. He wanted all 3 numbers. When I told him that I needed clarification of who he was and why he was calling he hung up.
The IRS Would NOT Do this!! They send letters, then certified letters. Unless you gave them a phone number, they don't have it. They do not threaten you. Obviously these foreigners have been watching too much TV reruns showing IRS agents threatening poor tax payers. That doesn't (or shouldn't) happen.
If you are in doubt ask them to send you a certified letter and you will forward it to your CPA and have them respond timely. That'll get them to hang up.
Yeah, so I've been on a drinking binge in Oktoberfest for the last two weeks and I'll be the first to say that I'm not as sharp as I normally am. I know the county and city employ alot of ethic-types, so I didn't immediately suspect them. It's when then said that agents were going to come to my door, that the drunken fog started to lift. He was really butt hurt and hung up when I pressed him on if he was with not only the "IRS", but with the Internal Revenue Service. That said, idiot that I am, at the beginning of the call, I gave up the last 4 digits of my social... :-(
Received a call from this number. Message was from a man who I could hardly understand as he had a very heavy Indian voice. I heard that he was from the IRS and something about me having my attorney call or me needing an attorney.
same story- said the IRS wanted to speak to my wife. sounded like a scammer with a heavy foreign accent to me, maybe middle east/Indian, but a very American sounding name Marcus Little and Albert Brown were the names he used for himself and his boss.
