I was wondering about this too. A "jim" called and left a message, and then I contacted the number and spoke to a person I could barely understand. I def. think this is a scam. I have an item on craigs list too

No answer when I returned the call.

I found it when I looked up the number 800-430-1965.  I am now getting calls with no caller ID about my vehicle for sale and messages with this 800 number left as a callback number.  It traces to Longwood Industries in Bedford, VA.  The link is to an article about them and their scam and how they bypass the no call list by claiming to be a charity.  Interesting reading.

Same deal - 2000 Lexus on Craigslist Boston.   I am supposed to email [email protected] .  

Sounds fishy, I think I'll use my Yahoo mail rather than my "real" address, see where it goes.

And cash only.  Remember, if this is a scam, they will send a check, it will clear your bank, and it will take a couple weeks for th banking system to figure out and notify you that it isn't good.

Just got a call this afternoon from Jim - he left a VM. I googled the phone number because I didn't recognize the area code. Glad I did because it appears that this is a scam.
