I just got a call from this same "Jim" yesterday in response to a vehicle I listed on craigslist. Didn't seem too strange since it was a VA number and I am in SE PA. When I called back, "Jim" wasn't in the office. I spoke with a barely understandable Indian fellow who told me the person who was interested in my vehicle has already been satisfied, but he will call me back if they get another client with similar interests. Sounded weird to me, but I said OK. Now I look it up and find this... I am a bit worried.
Got a call from "Jim" today, caller ID Unavailable, traced call back on white pages and came up with same thing as you guys. Won't be calling....My car is listed on Cars.com I am in SC.
Got the call from Jim today. Called back and reached someone who barely spoke english. Still don't understand what she said, something about an email and a buyer for my vehicle in auto trader. She abrutly hung up.5/12/08
Got the same call from a "Jim" who was not in the office. When I called back later that day, I was told that "Jim" didn't take calls. The email address I received sounded like it was in Hawaii, which is odd, since I am in Georgia. I answered the email....do I have to worry about my email address not and hacking into my computer, etc?
Got the same call from "Jim" who left me a message about the car I had posted in Autotrader. Before I called back, I searched the number and found this forum. So I thought I'd bait these scammers a little. I called back, the foreigner answered and told me Jimbo stepped out of the office but that she could help. She told me someone was interested in my car and asked me to verify which car I was selling. So I told her it was a bright pink 2008 Dodge Viper with a Fillipe Twisted Pico Generator installed in it. She said "Yes sir, someone is interested in that and would like you to contact them via email". If anyone can tell me what a fillipe twisted pico generator is, I'll give you $50!!! So now I am going to mess with these people by way of email, which the foreign woman was kind enough to give me.
