Another of the "card services" scammer numbers. I've trapped probably about 130 of their numbers by now. Thankfully, I have unlimited blocking on my iphone with a program called iblacklist. Sorry, you have to be a jailbreaker to get it. If you are, its in the Cydia store.
Received a call from this number today. I have Time Warner phone service, so I have a blocker for robo-dialed calls. It rings once then stops. There seems to have been a huge increase in the number of scam phone calls in the past month and I've actually completely blocked several numbers. This is the first time that this particular number has shown up.
just got one from lower my credit card interest rate. why do these slime still exist? how much to they pay to the government to let them keep operating? how much money can they actually make from these scams?
Yep, just got a call and when I pressed 1 to speak to someone and asked exactly who they were, I was hung up on. SO tired of this and keep filing complaints, but nothing!! (I think the whistle idea above is a wonderful idea!)...
Got a call from this number today, but did not answer it because the "Consumer Services" CID looked suspicious. When they didn't need a message, I checked it out here. Now it is blocked courtesy of my handy-dandy call blocking device. Die, scammers.
Just answer the call.... when you get a live person just thll them to "hang on" and walk away for a minute or two. They learn pretty quickly who is a waste of time for them.
