Another of the "card services" scammer numbers. I've trapped probably about 130 of their numbers by now. Thankfully, I have unlimited blocking on my iphone with a program called iblacklist. Sorry, you have to be a jailbreaker to get it. If you are, its in the Cydia store.
I keep getting these calls but since I have caller id I don't answer the phone. They usually don't leave a message on my answering machine but there have been a couple of times they have. The message is about lowering my credit card rates. We don't have a credit card!! Would love to find a way to keep them from calling me.
I have probably 50 phone numbers blocked that refer to themselves at Card Services. They are wanting to lower the interest on our credit card. I have stayed on hold to talk to a live person but before I can complete my request asking them to take me off of their calling list they hang up. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm desperate!
They called my business. Came up as Consumer Svcs. I picked up expecting a robot or human come-on. They must have been at capacity because there was nobody on the line. I stayed on the line for a total of 13 seconds and hung up. Will likely hear from them again.
Called our DNC registered landline on
08/27/2014 @ 10:24 AM from Scranton, PA. Caller ID shows Consumer Svcs. Aka, Card Services, Bank Services, Credit Services, Rachel, Heather, Carmen, etc. They've called from several hundred different numbers over the last 4 years. They call almost daily.
We don't answer callers we don't know. We set voicemail to pick up on 5 rings. Since robo-callers disconnect in 4 or fewer rings there's no wasted time with telemarketer voicemail. Also, our number is not verified as voicemail didn't pick up while line was open.
