They keep calling for someone we never heard of and won't stop. I do not answer the phone anymore because they get around the dead air calling by leaving a message you can't reply to. If I have to deal with them they will get a bill from me for investigative expenses. All they need to do is reverse lookup my phone number and see we are not who they are calling for.
This number continues to call my cell phone. It is alot of dead air time and after about 15 seconds a voice comes on and asks for x to call back this number and says the number. When I call back they ask me who I am and I refuse to answer. When I ask then to identify themselves they (including the manager Adam Hall) refuse to identify the name of their company name, address are any information about there company. My cell number is on the national do not call regestry. I advised Adam Hall of this and he still refused to give me anyinformation about his company. What can be done here?
Message left from this number says they are from a company called Capital Account. I googled that and from what I can tell they are from Nashville, and try to collect on debts that don't exist.
Everything I've read where people have talked to harassers from this company, all the 'employees' have generic names and are rude and unprofessional. All the signs of people trying to collect money that isn't owed if you ask me...
Gotten several calls from this number & so far they always leave a "dead air" message on the vm... A form of harassment! I have no idea who they are or shat they want.
Capital Accounts out of Nashville, TN - They are a collection agency - I did owe the amount they started so I paid it. No threats or anything like that but he did say at first that they had called me a number of times (like 15 to 20 times) and that I had never answered. BUT, I did answer this number and another number they use 903-484-9278, and now that I see these numbers, I realize how sneaky they are - when I answered, it is always dead air. No one was ever on the other line, and I always hung up.
So as I was talking to the CSP, (who is just doing his job) and he said they tried contacting me - I countered with "Do you answer phone calls from unknown numbers?" - He said he didn't. And then I said, that neither of these numbers come up under Caller ID and he said that is because they are a collection agency....that they are highly regulated now. Fine. Then he said he would clear my Credit Report (all three agencies) within 6 weeks, but for them to do that, he would have to charge me a $5.00 service fee. After we were all done, he said he could clear my name and my credit. Not for a second do I believe them.
