Got a call from this number. A computer recording came on and stated that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call 315 area code number, don't remember the rest of the number. It is a scam
Same as the above two posters... received the following automated message (verbatim):
"Hello. We have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 202-747-2162; I repeat, 202-747-2162. Thank you."
Just got a call from that number (607.231-8335) this a.m. but NO accent now --> a woman on a recorded message, about "the IRS filing suit."
I did the *69 to get the number they'd actually called from! They left an incomplete # in the message & not related to the actual # they called from!
I got the EXACT same message on my voicemail today, but they left a different phone number.
It was an automated voice.
The IRS always sends correspondence via snail mail, they don't call.

all calls within 2 weeks .... november 2014 ... different hours . Probably scanning or planning time to call ... i dont know .... but i know this for sure .... they are a pain in the neck . ;(
never have i spoken to anyone ... all i hear is .... bizzzzzzzzzz then thank you ... as if i called someone and listened to the recorded message and it hung up on me .
