My call on 4/30/15 was a pre recorded female voice saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. It gave another phone number to call, I didn't get a pen in time. I plan on reporting this to the IRS. My caller ID only said New York.
Robo call from this number saying IRS (not THE IRS) internal revenue service has been trying to reach me and is issuing a lawsuit against me. I need to call 206-462-5501 to resolve this. I called the 206 number to tell them to add me to the do not call list. The person who answered had a very thick accent, likely Romanian or other eastern European.
I, too, received a call from this number and was told (in an heavy Indian accent) that he was from Windows and he detected some suspicious activity on my computer. Since I was aware of this scheme, I played along asking him which computer -- and he said oh, all of them. I said "oh my, that could be a serious problem" and of course he agreed. I then asked him what was the IP address and he hesitated and loudly said "I said all of them." I then told him there was another problem -- I don't have Windows and I have a Mac. He was infuriated and said I was a "lying Bi...ch!" Are there that many people who fall for this scam to make it worthwhile to the scammers?
Just got a message from this number claiming to be the IRS. They told me they had been trying to reach me and that this was my last chance to clear up my delinquent taxes. I hung up before the message finished. SCAMMERS!!
