My call on 4/30/15 was a pre recorded female voice saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. It gave another phone number to call, I didn't get a pen in time. I plan on reporting this to the IRS. My caller ID only said New York.
Just had a voicemail left from this number. It was a recording of a man with no accent saying "Hello......... we've found your cat.......what's that?..........that's odd.....so this isn't your cat?.......(talks to someone in the background about putting down the fake cat)......ok well we've got it all sorted out." and it hangs up. It was more funny than anything but it makes me wonder what they were looking for from me. Didn't ask for money....
Caller stating my computer is sending error messages (First of all not possible your computer don't send virus errors unless you create the report yourself) This is a Scam they hijack your PC and hold it at ransom I stayed on the line and let the idiots talk finally I said How do you know my computer is infected he said its sending error reports I work in customer technical support so I know its a load of donkey doo doo so I told him your not going to scam me and he Hung up on him
I see the first post was in 2011. Here it is...2014 and this same number is still being used for the same purpose. Guy called to tell me he represented Microsoft and I had used their tech support previously. He was calling to tell me someone was trying to get into my computer and he was going to help me block that. Told him I didn't use Microsoft. I called the number back. Usually I get a message that this number is not in service, but this number is picked up by the National Tutoring Network. I'm not sure why its been reported, probably by many people, and is still being used for the same illegal purposes for 3 years!
