my wife received a call from this # and was told the IRS was going to start legal action against us,we have also been getting calls about windows for our PC I`m not sure if it`s the same number but it could be ,this is a scam because the IRS will not contact you by phone they will send you correspondence thru the mail,this call came from Big Flats NY and was automated
I got a call from this number yesterday, they told me there is a lawsuit against my name and my social security...I didn't believe them and knew it was a scam, but they kept calling!
They called from "Windows" in the "technical support" department about "there is a virus on your computer we need to help you with"
Instructions were:
Start -> My Computer -> Manage
asked me what I saw "what do you see"
I said "i was writing the instructions down and I wasn't sure which computer they needed me to check"
and then they hung up ...
Now my problem is how will I ever find out what the problem was? I'm really left hanging here!

I received a call from this number yesterday AND today. They asked me if I own a laptop or desktop computer. I told them frankly it was none of there business and we are not obligated to tell NO ONE what we own. If they were our insurance company updating their records and it was our agent, that would be different. As far as I'm concerned this is NOT a question ANYONE should answer to just anyone. It's the time of the year people have houses broken into and with the person knowing what you own you make yourself a target. Keep your house safe and your family - DO NOT answer to anyone you don't know about what you do or do not own.
