I also got a call from this rude thieves. I have reported their number to the FTC. Please take 5 minutes and report them. It is the only way to get rid of them. !!!!!
they call me with the same story of past advertising , they keep trying to record me accepting and confirming something and i always interrupt them when they said " are you the authorises purchase person " i said " I'm not purchasing anything. and they send me to the first guy . I ask the first guy for his manager he said he was the manager and his title is ( his extension number manager ) what an idiot .
Just got the same story everyone above got. Person state his name as John Gonzales, told me that my company had listing with them since 2012 and that it was "complimentary" and now he is calling to find out if I am going to renew it for over $800 per 2 years. He stated that his call is to CLOSE account unless I want to keep going. I said - whatever it is, I want it closed, not-renewed, etc...he said I have to talk with Determination department..and he connected me with them. "Determination" department's guy said ...'we are confirming your !!!!! I N V O I C E !!!! and...bla bla...and I said...what are you talking about, what Invoice?? He said, you have to pay $800 something invoice or we will put you in Collection and you will be paying anyway.
I said I don’t use your services whatever it is, I have no knowledge of ever signing up for anything with you and end of conversation. And I hang up.
Please, if we have some lawyers in our community - can you PLEASE stop these rude scammers? It so much interferes with our lives, our businesses...it is just RIDICULOUS.
Just got a call from this number - brought up Beach Haven, NJ on the caller id. I work for a small business, they asked for the owner by his last name only - the guy had a very heavy accent. I told him the owner was on the phone - which he wasn't, but this guy didn't identify himself, that's just one way I weed out scams - if it's legit, they will leave a message. He proceeded to ask "how long on phone" I told him I had no clue how long he would be - which I really don't. Then he asked if he could hold and I said that or I could take a message, he sat there for a good 10-15 seconds silent then gave a smartass laugh and hung up on me. Do these folks honestly think just because some of us answer phones for a living that we have an IQ of a brick?
Just got the same call everyone else is getting but he asked specifically for me, when I replied this is she. He hung up. Same voicemail when you return the call and no room for message. Ext 111 mailbox is full
