A woman called asking for "Christine (insert last name)". Just from her tone I suspected it was a collection agency so I said "Christine isn't here- uh, there's no Christine here." So she gave me attitude and said "well which is it? is she not there or does she not live there?" So then I pretended to cover up for my imaginary friend Christine and said, "Who's calling please?" She wouldn't identify herself or her company but said she had official business with Christine. I asked what kind but she wouldn't say. So then I said Christine doesn't live here. She said "Why would Christine give us this #?" (uh, duh?? Maybe because she doesn't want to be harassed at home?) I said not to call again and she threatened to check the phone records, whatever that means.
After hanging up I wanted to tell the story to my friend, so I picked up the phone and hit his number on speed dial. But I noticed there was no dial tone, and no ringing. So I suspected she might still be on the line. I waited a moment and said (while trying not to crack up) "Christine?" She was still on the phone and barked "I thought you didn't know Christine?!" So I fake-panicked and said "uhh, why are you still on the phone!" She accused me of calling her (wtf?). So I asked her to please hang up and not call again. That was Dec 4, at 8:39am. Today is Dec 10, and they called again at 8:20am but no one was on the other line this time.
Lindsay is one of the worst people in the world. I am working with another rep from the same office to get this paid back and she still calls me EVERY SINGLE DAY at 8:05am. Karma will get you. You reap what you sow. When that bad thing happens to you in your life and you wondering why, it is because of the way you treat others. I hope you read this and laugh it off just to add to you despair in the furure.
My university sucks and they send my balance to theis collection agency.I paid my fees and graduated teh next day, and changed my current address and left my school for good...or so i thought!!!!.Those [***]#$%^% f#$%%^ up and never withdrew money from my account, then kept sending me letters on my old address, which i obviously did not receive and eventually forwarded my account to teh collection agency!!!!!!.here i am witha anew life and then this letter comes out of no where on my current address saying i own twice as much as i did to the school due to interest ove rthe months!!!! and now i have to speake to soem collection agency..who btw never pick up and never call back after voicemail! they r ok but my schoooool suckssss like crazy!!!
got a message saying I had to call an 866 number about a very important message. the call came from OH. AFter reading this thread I have no doubt that it the rip of "school" UOP. The changed my financial aid without my consent. I finished my 1st two blocks of classes then got out of there. Now they say I owe the $800! I was a part time student. Since when is part time required to take more than 2 classes. STAY AWAY from UOP. The retarded "classes" you are required to take will NOT transfer to another school. They all lie! Mike Wheeler, Manzi Patel and every one else who suckered me into enrolling are nothing but scam artist.
