I received a call to asking for my mom, she said that was with Honeywell Security and, my 3 year warrenty was expiring. Caught me off guard. She said. "Can you hear me". It was too late. I said. "Yeah". ALERT ALERT...
Man with very heavy Indian accent started talking about our ADT alarm system. I told him not to call here, we are on the do-not-call list, then hung up. There was an article in the paper recently that said these calls are often from people who want to find out if you actually have an alarm system because if you say you don't have one, they may try to rob you - so the best defense is to never say anything to these jerks other than telling them not to call you and hang up.
By the way, we have a great state-of-the-art alarm system with video surveillance, trained guard dogs, and everyone in the house packs at all times.
I've received 3 calls in 5 days from this phone #. First time I answered no one was there. Second time an Indian sounding man asked for me by name and said he was calling about my 3 yrs old ADT alarm system. I said we don't have an alarm system and don't want one and hung up. He called the next day asking for my husband by name. When I said he wasn't home he hung up.
A man with a foreign accent called me from this number. Asked for me by my first name and asked about my Honeywell alarm system. He said his name was Joel.
Had the same call. Older guy with accent, knew my first and last name. I also made the mistake of telling him I did not have an alarm system. When I said that, he said "I know" and then hung up.
