I have 3 accounts with businesses that finance thru Comenity Bank. These jerks have called 8 times today even though I have set up payments online. Paying these jerks off in January. Such blatant harassment! I also plan to give an earful to these 3 companies for financing thru Comenity. Consumers beware!
I googled the name on my CID. COMENITY, formerly World Financial Network National Bank, handles credit cards and various accounts. You may, like me, have had an account with WFNNB without even knowing it. If you carry credit cards, have an IRA or other account once handled by WFNNB and now handled by Comenity Bank. Look at your original contract (which many of us DON'T when we sign up) of your accounts. If they were originally signed with WFNNB, you are being notified of the change to Comenity.
The posts here seem to indicate that it is all about a debt. Commenity seems to have a propensity to call dozens of times in a day if you are even a day late with the payment, and sometimes calls even before the payment is due. Commenity has almost 1600 complaints at the BBB and a government action against them for deceptive practices (and yet the BBB gives them an A, guess they pay big bucks for that rating). I sincerely doubt they are calling because of a name change that happened quite some time ago. They would have sent a letter out about that.
