Rcvd SCAM call at 1:56p ET, from an unidentified (Lower Interest) Name using a spoofed number 616-613-2100 asigned to Zeeland, MI. This is a total SCAM call trying to obtain your information. Do Not answer the phone. I too use a Digitone Call Blocker from Digitone Communications, so all unwanted & toll numbers are block so my phone never rings during these unidentified / unwanted calls. This unit allows you to block any area code in whole. This area code is blocked from ringing my personal number without leaving any unwanted message.
Filed online complaint with the FTC and FCC site to help put a stop to these types of unwanted calls. This allows all Federal and State agencies to search and provide what additional information is reported to these government sites to track this Scam
Thanks for all your work. Unfortunately, neither the US FCC, or any of the phone Co.s either can't or wont do anything much if at all about all these calls which come from all over the US, and worldwide! ATT for instance, only allowa 10 numbers to be blocked at any one time, and does not enable 800+ #s to be blocked; they're no help at all (I read Verizon only blocks five numbers at any one time). I also read they get revenue from these operators--I believe it!
Called me just now. I answered the call just to see what it was, another useless "lower your credit rate telemarketing scam". I don't have any credit cards. So I pressed one. Said hello, got a rude hello back. I said " what the hell do you want?" "I am on the do not call list and you harassing me". The other voice says "so what, who cares, who gives a F***". I said :"you will after I contact the fcc about your threatening tone". He did have that tone in his voice that he was going to carry on and be threatening because I called out this company (not that they said the name of the company). Then, for the heck of it, I called the number to see what would happen, such as press 2 to be removed, etc. after # was dialed, not even a fast busy, ring, nothing. Just dead air.
