I am receiving a volume of calls from this number. They divulged an old address of mine and this is perhaps because they are not actually Charter, but rather someone who has acquired Charter records and is trying to solicit credit card information from Charter patrons.
I have blocked this number and will report it to the proper authorities if they can find a workaround.
This Charter Communications. They call 12-14 times a week (4 times today in 3 hours).Charter says they do not have honor the Do Not Call List because they are making a special offer. I finally went to the corporate office and complained. The address is as follows:
Charter Communications
12405 Powerscourt Dr.
Saint Louis MO 63131
636-207-5100
I told them I would go back to broadcast TV before even considering Charter. What's even worse, Charter doesn't even service my area. Funny thing, the site I found with their corporate info had a BIG AT&T ad under it.
This is Charter. I used Charter last year because it was the only service in my building for internet. Boy, was that a mistake.
They are still calling me offering me deals one year later. If you call back with a blocked number they block you, funny isn't it? Anyways I've had pretty good luck spam calling other companies back until they decide it's not worth calling me anymore because I'd hassle their telemarketers too much and waste their time. I'll probably try that on Charter as well.
I also have received 4-5 calls each day. Yes it is Charter. Here is how I successfully handled it. I called the 618# after receiving 2 phone calls within the hour. I told them to remove my phone # immediately and I am on the do not call registry and to receive 4-5 phone calls a day is harassment. Also told them if I receive ONE more phone call, I am filing a formal complaint with my state's Attorney General. Charter told me it would take 45 days-I said BULL!! You one of the departments of the Charter company and I am THE customer, and in this day and age of technology there is no reason to not remove my phone # immediately.
I then called Charter Customer service and told them the same adding that Charter is violating the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Consumer Protection law. Informed Charter if I receive ONE more phone call, I would file a formal complaint with both the FCC and the Attorney General. Initially Charter told me it would take 30 days. Again BULL!! My phone # was to be removed immediately.
