I was notified by a "lawyer" that I was being sued in Small Claims Court by Portfolio Recovery. They say that they bought out a debt that I had back in 2007-08. I live in a state with a 4 year Statute of Limitations.
I am getting called because I just got a new wireless home phone from AT&T, and while I pay my bills, apparently the last person to have this number did not.
I have told the caller that I am not the gentleman they are looking for and that I just got this number from AT&T in February, but they aren't listening. They still call me.

The Laurie you are referring to is my sister & I can guarantee it wasn't her making that call so is someone using her number?? Because that number at top of page isn't hers.
I just want to make sure something's not going on with her number & someone is using hers? This is crazy! Yikes!
