I have gotten phone calls from this number for over a week. At first they asked to speak with someone who does not live here and now they called wanting me to hold for the next available person or to call them at an 800 number. I called the 800 number and they wanted the last four of my social security number as I was told I have an account there by my phone number. I have had this phone number for 10 years or more and I do not have an account at Citimorgage. I told business with a privately owned bank. When I finally got a live person I told that person I do not have an account and she hung up on me. I just received another call from this number and no answer when I picked up the phone. I am sick and tired of them calling, asking for a person who does not live here and possibly entered my phone number as their own. Our area has different prefixes for the phone numbers so they had better check their prefix again.
I just received a call from them. I applied for a new credit card with Citi this weekend and the guy said he was trying to approve my application, but only for $500. He said he could increase it by any other amount if I decreased the limit on my other existing Citi card. Seems a little weird, but I never come close to that amount anyways. Figured why not. I just checked my online account, the credit line for my existing account has already been decreased. So, it seems legit to me. *Shrugs*
I have received daily calls from this telephone number. It sounds like a party going on in the background with lots of laughter and female voices. No one responds. If you just ignore the call from that area code...the voice mail does record the background and signal you that you have voice mail..then you have the incessant reminder you have a voice mail....very irritating.
