They told me my student loans were in default for $5000 and if I could settle it with 1,285 by Feb 20 the guy sounded Asian and was very hard to understand
This is a scam. They said they were a law office and I would go to jail if I didn't send them money by western union. My lawyer confirmed it is a scam and I have reported them to the ftc. I am waiting to hear back from the state attorney generals office.
All times and keeps calling saying they are attorneys and will have someone at my door tomorrow. They can't stop proceeding unless you pay at least half. I am already paying this creditor off through national portfolio services they worked with me and told me to tell them I have an attorney. When I called and told them the Indian guy mr. knox just laughed and said i was lying and he was hanging up on me. Aggravating!
Got a call today from this # stating they are from the united states credit agency . Told me I had 24 hrs to call them back or they would serve in court .
I just received a call from Simon 646-604-0969 with the US Credit Reporting Agency. Telling me that I was going to be served for court due to a loan I received from a personal lender 2 years ago and I never paid them back. He knew my Name, My address, the name of my bank...he even knew my email address. Said they sent me notification 3 months ago by someone coming to my door AT MY HOUSE but I was not there. Said I owed $5,000 but if I wanted to write them a letter to the Attorney Steve Knox in Brooklyn NY saying that I was sorry I failed to pay this and that I am a US citizen and wanted to settle out of court before the law suit was filed for $1495.00. And then wanted to know if I could do this today........HE SCARED THE [***] OUR OF ME........PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A SCAM?????
I just a call from this number 646-604-0969. This attorney to me that I owe this loan company money, but the problem is that they want me to give them my bankruptcy lawyer their address.
