I had this same thing happen to me. Did anyone figure out what this is? I called back and they asked for my name and address...naturally when I asked for "Catherine Richardson" she was "unavailable." Any further information about this?
I just received the exact same call and message, but from a Washington state (425 area code) number. "Department of Tax" is not a real FBI department. Also "an arrest warrant has been issued for 'further queries' " is an idiotic statement. It's like the police saying "We have some questions for you so we're just going to arrest you." Definitely a scam. I could write a better script for them.
I called the number back and a foreign gentleman answered. He asked for my name and zip code then told me he was going to read off my information and it was important that I not intrupt. I would not use the "phrases" he was asking me to say and was getting irritated when I refused to listen to what he was saying until he provided proof of what he was talking about. He got irrate and I hung up.
