I'm the first? Well, surely won't be the last. I just received (on my Do-Not-Call state and national listed mobile phone) a call, robo-initiated, the recording which I hung up on saying in a cheerful voice, "Hi, this is Sherrie from Google Advertising". The Caller ID did not mention Google or Sherrie, but a deception: call from the (something) area - maybe Plainview or something similar, with which I'm totally unfamiliar. Weirdly, after blocking and reporting this number as a do-not-call violator (Google being about as big and bad as it gets!), the caller ID no longer displayed the first id (location) but simply says "mobile". They've got great technology, horrid ethics at Google (especially, you'd think, from the "don't do evil" company!) Spam!!
i like the other comment to call them back and blow a whistle on them. might be a good one! it wont stop them from calling, but hey if we all do it, it will annoy the he-ll out of them! i am now in ebay looking for a cheap whistle as i am too lazy to go to a dollar store.
