I'm the first? Well, surely won't be the last. I just received (on my Do-Not-Call state and national listed mobile phone) a call, robo-initiated, the recording which I hung up on saying in a cheerful voice, "Hi, this is Sherrie from Google Advertising". The Caller ID did not mention Google or Sherrie, but a deception: call from the (something) area - maybe Plainview or something similar, with which I'm totally unfamiliar. Weirdly, after blocking and reporting this number as a do-not-call violator (Google being about as big and bad as it gets!), the caller ID no longer displayed the first id (location) but simply says "mobile". They've got great technology, horrid ethics at Google (especially, you'd think, from the "don't do evil" company!) Spam!!
Received call today, not the first, definitely spam. This time I called it back, recorded message with the greeting, "if you'd like to be removed from their calling list, press 1", followed by "sorry for the inconvenience, please allow 48 hrs., etc., etc.
