received a call that my debit card was locked and to press 1 to talk to their security dept. My bank was closed at the time of the call so I know it was junk.
Just got a call saying my Mastercard was deactivated. I laughed out loud as I hung up...I dont have a mastercard!! And I sure wouldn't give then any information!
Called my cellphone at 9:15 with recorded message that MasterCard debit was locked and press 1. I did nothing and call was disconnected. Googled the number (661-695-5199) and got a landline in Palmdale CA. Definitely a SCAM.
I cannot believe this is allowed to remain operating as long as it has. I thought once reported that some form of police department would be going after these people. Call it back you will see that it rings long enough for them to see who is calling them back then goes to disconnected. What is sad there are people who don't know any better and give out their information thinking they are doing the right thing. So if you know any elder, mentally challenged or who really does not know any better inform them before what little money they do have will be gone and never get it back. All my case load do not have computers and would not know what to do. Security company sounds real to the unknowing population.
