I just received a phone call and the lady said she was from window support center and asking me to turn on my computer so she can fix my computer which is having 32 virus that could harm my PC. I ask her how did she know since I do not send any report and if she is from Microsoft but she said she was from window support center and not from Microsoft. I ask her name and contact, she said her name is Rachel frank and provide this contact no and was telling me her mail Id and the call dis connect.
There is nothing wrong with your computer at all. The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!
My 83 year old mom got a similar call from "Eric Watson" today, 6/20/14. She was paniced and spent an hour with on the phone with him while he directed her to a website to show her all the error messages she had on her computer. She finally got him off the phone and called me to ask what she should do. Fortunately, she didn't give them a credit card number. I did a reverse lookup for the phone number he gave her and found it was from Tehachapi, CA. I live on the east coast and she lives out west, but I did make some calls to the Tehachapi, CA police department and to mom's local police department. This BS must stop.
