male with a strong indian (india) accent said to call this number so matter would not be reported to the IRS. and hung up. Tried calling this number back and machine answered saying mailbox was full so I was unable to leave a message requesting that they do not call me again.
Dude was confused. He called me asking for my dad. Since when does the IRS do that? Anyway, some indian dude was calling on behalf of John Garcia. I called him back pretending to be someone else asking for Jose Jimenez. The moron said, "You're [Insert my dad's name and last name]". So IRS has caller ID?
I was probably the first bait today so voice and number was fresh in his mind. Anyway, I pretended to keep asking for Jose Jimenez and his tone changed from nice guy to rude [***] indian dude. He said, "Why you call?" "Who are you?" Didn't even ask for identification of social like IRS does. I said I wanted to talk to Jose and he said have a good day and was going to hang up. I laughed and called him a [***] for about 15 seconds until he hung up.
I got disturbing phone call from an man who gave me his name as Eric Miller IRS ID #924358 Isounded east Indian threatened me with lawsuit had some personal info which prompted me to ask for case no.etc.. Transferred to his supervisor Shawn Stefsler then when I asked him what office he was out of he said Virgina lots of noise behind him like when you call a service center over seas then he hung up. Sounds like scam and smells like one too must be.
Received same call asking for a female, not my wife, with same last name as mine. Claimed to be the IRS. No need to go into further details but blocked the number. This is the third number I blocked from the same scammer. The three numbers are all Virginia numbers: 571-210-5953, 703-459-9484 and 703-662-8332.
