male with a strong indian (india) accent said to call this number so matter would not be reported to the IRS. and hung up. Tried calling this number back and machine answered saying mailbox was full so I was unable to leave a message requesting that they do not call me again.
I received a call multiple times from the same number who claimed to be from IRS and threatening me to be arrested. He told me his name is Jason O'Connor which alerted me that the caller is a scammer due to his Indian accent.When I attempted to confirm if he really does from IRS he called me stupid. When I told him that I got his number and I will report him to FBI he got mad and called me mother f#####er. I called him the same way too then he hung up.
We received two call from this number today. First was an East Indian woman, asking to speak to me. Funny thing is, she called my wife's phone, not mine. She claimed she was from the IRS, and needed t speak to me regarding an urgent IRS matter. My wife interrogated her, and she hung in. Even after she asked the woman for her IRS badge number. We work with the IRS on a frequent basis, and knew righ away this was a scam. They send you letters in the mail. They don't call you unless you request a call back from the RO. An RO has to be assigned to your case for that to happen, and you know who your RO is. Anyway, as soon as I told her "you're not with the IRS", she hung up. A couple of hours later we get a call from the same number. This time it was an Indian man. As soon as my wife started asking him specific questions, that the IRS would knwo the answers to, he started using profanity and huing up. Then I called their number back. The same guy answered. I told him I was with the IRS. He got super angry, and started using profanity. I told him I was reporting his number, and he got even angrier. Then he hung up the phone. Too funny.
THIS IS A SCAM!!! Some agency needs to get involved. These people are finding victims who fall into the sceme, and are being taken for thousands of dollars. We have his number. The owner answers the phone in the same voice and accent as the caller. It seems it shuold be fairly easy to find these people, and arrest them.
Received multiple calls from 703-662-8332 Stating they were the Internal Revenue Service.
on 2/24 caller Used multiple expletives - Called me M.....F...... Said FU multiple times and told me I was being sued and would be arrested.
On 2/25 call from same number - said Treasury Department - said I was being sued. I asked to speak to his supervisor and was disconnected.
Total scam has been going on for awhile.
This scam has been talked about on KHOW - Troubleshooter show in Denver CO.
No one should be threatened in this manner.
Update: he called back today (2/25/15), asking for my spouse on my mobile line. I answered and said, "do you know you're all over the Internet as a scammer," and he hung up.
Male with an accent has called 3 times in the last 2 days and leaves the same message on my voice mail that there is a legal position with my land and something about federal court and getting arrested and the number.
