The person whom called me claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service could not understand my English when I asked for proof that he was from the Internal Revenue service, then asked me to wait on the line for 45 minutes.  I asked him if he was serious, that he really wanted me to wait for close to an hour on hold, he argued that it was not, it was actually like half an hour.  I told him that I could not trust that he was with the Internal Revenue Service if he could not even understand simple fractions; that 45 minutes was 3/4th of an hour exactly, he tried to argue AGAIN. At this point, I told him I wanted to talk with his supervisor, he put me on hold and the phone call was terminated 1 minute and 10 seconds later.  I called back, another very strong accented voice answered Internal Revenue Service, when I asked why an Internal Revenue service person was so poor with English, the speaker asked me,  "Is this Miss Deborah?"  (This is not my name, the name they asked me for when they first called.) I replied No. The speaker argued with me and hung up.  BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Eric with strong India accent asked for me and said he was calling from IRS Internal Revenue Service,  I neither confirmed my name nor denied it.  I asked if I could take a message and he hung up.

We got a similar call claiming to be authorized by IRS.  Said we better call back with name of our attorney or else.  Threats of being arrested.  This was all left on a voice message.  Glad to have found this site.  Wish I would have checked right away, probably would have had a better nights sleep.

This is a scam!!  The IRS will only contact you by mail unless you have called them and they are returning your original call!!  Check your phone service, I have optimum and you can block up to 32 phone numbers at no extra charge unless they are 800 or international phone numbers.

I got the same call too. I want to report this number. It's so annoying pepole out there scaring innocent people.
