I also received no call from this number but my credit card was charged $7.55 from GLOBAL E-BUSINESS. I called my bank and had the card temporarily suspended until I can get to the bank to straighten it out. I am not calling the phone number on my phone. Even using *67 (caller ID block) it may be possible for them to retrieve more information about someone through a phone call. They already have my card information, no need to give them even more simply by calling the number. I want my $7.55 back!
I just found the same charge of $4.55 from this company on my account. The phone number says it is "temporarily unavailable" which threw out HUGE flags! Then I found this site and their site, which is horribly generic and provides no contact info. I would LOVE to know how they got my information! Because what bothers me most...I am pretty anal about where I use my card. This is very alarming. I cancelled my card at the recommendation of the bank and now I have to open a new acct-causes a huge inconvenience for me!!! What jerks...its vandalism, terrorism, and straight up theivery! I did not receive a call from the, but their "name and phone number" was listed on the charge information.
I also was charged 4.55 on 11/20. My credit union's security was "compromised" a few months ago and they sent us new cards. But the new cards have both received fraudulent charges. Those of you who mention government accounts makes me wonder if they didn't hack into North Carolina's system.
I also received a $4.55 charge on my credit card with the description "GLOBAL E-BUSINESS 708-3983213 IL" on 10/09/2009. Mine is a personal credit card (Chase), and I have exercised similar caution in making minimal purchases online, only through reputable businesses. Glad to see this post. I'll be calling my credit card company tomorrow to dispute the charge and cancel the card. Best of luck to you all.
