I MADE A PURCHASE ONLINE FROM BARNES AND NOBLE AND THIS BOGUS COMPANY PLACED A HOLD ON MY CARD WITH THE SAME DATE AND TIME INFORMATION AS BARNES AND NOBLE. THE 4.55 CHARGE ALSO POSTED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE BARNES AND NOBLE CHARGE.
Received a bogus charge of $7.55 on my Master card in December 2009. Reported it as fraud and canceled my card. I called the number 708-398-3213 which was listed with the merchants name "GLOBAL E-BUSINESS" on my statement. It is a noisy recording in broken english refering me to an email address that is undecipherable and a URL www.globale-business.net that is not familiar. I can't believe this scam has not been shut down yet.
No call, but I had an annoying $1.55 charge from GLOBAL E BUSINESS on my December Mastercard bill with the same 708-398-3213 number next to it. I had no idea what it could be so I called to find out. The beginning of the voicemail message was cut off so I couldn't hear the name of the business--just instructions to leave a message so I hung up. Then I came here and saw this info and called my credit card company. They took the charge off and filed a dispute--the representative told me not to worry about it. He said the dispute costs the vendor--in this case GLOBAL E BUSINESS--money and as a fraudulant charge, it won't be worth it to them to continue to keep coming back for $1.55 or in these other cases for such small amounts if disputes are filed against them. It's a pain in the butt, but if it's on your credit card, call your credit card company and complain.
