I filed a online complaint with the BBB about the company,Lifeline Industries, they have several complaints already but are in good standing so far. The BBB told me thay would get back to me as soon as they could check it all out and talk to them.So I have failed a complaint with the FCC and the BBB so for no calls in two days.Dont know if that did the trick are me just not answering the phone.
i too just got a phone # from comcast and these calls started. i haven't heard anyone on the other end. i googled the number and it led me here. i just added my number to the national do not call list i hope this works.
All these the same mo. They call early morning late evening and multiple times. No talking and no advertising, just silence and then when I call it back the taped message that the line is disconnected. I will be notifying my phone co (Sudden link).
This and similar numbers have called me about 5 times over the past few days - usually before 8am. I have had a person talk to me every time I've answered and they tell me that I've won a prize. I've expressly asked to be removed from their call list and they keep calling back. I think it is the same guy every time, too. Normally when I get a telemarketing call, I politely ask to be removed from their list and then hang up. But this kind of harassment is going too far for me to be nice.
We moved into our new house about a month ago and the day we hooked up our phone service through Time Warner this number has been calling. We answer and no one says anything for a long time, so we just hang up. Tonight my boyfriend answered the phone and started cussing at 'no one' and someone finally said something that we couldnt understand, they sounded middle eastern, then disconnected. They immediately called back, my boyfriend cussed at them again and they told us we would be removed from theyre list. We will see.
Can't we notify the police or something???
