I filed a online complaint with the BBB about the company,Lifeline Industries, they have several complaints already but are in good standing so far. The BBB told me thay would get back to me as soon as they could check it all out and talk to them.So I have failed a complaint with the FCC and the BBB so for no calls in two days.Dont know if that did the trick are me just not answering the phone.
This number kept calling my phone over and over every single day. I didn't answer. I had only gotten this phone number about a month ago. I didn't answer it because I knew it was nothing important. Finally I had a friend visiting and I made him answer it. He said that we weren't interested and told them to take me off the list. The guy told him that there was no list and that I was qualified for something. They called back the next day and I made him talk to them. They said they were from Value Benefits of America or something like that. He had my name and address. He said he was calling about my Visa/Mastercard account. My friend kept asking what the company was called and what account he was getting the information from and the guy kept getting mad. It was only after a while that we got him to say Value Benefits of America. When my friend asked to speak to a supervisor the guy hung up. I searched for the phone number and found this page. My friend said the guy sounded Indian or Middle Eastern. Oh, and apparently the guy realized that my friend (who is a guy) was not me and wanted to get my friend's information for the account instead.
We have recieved several calls from this number over the past week. Most of the time it is silent, but on the last call they advised us that we had won a free gas card. They verified our name and address and then proceeded to ask us if we use visa or mastercard. We told them that if they were giving us a free gas card they did not need this information. At that point they hung up.....
Like everyone else we have recently moved and have receieved numerous calls from a 712 number with the caller id of "Celebration". Everytime it is the same thing, they say I have one a prize and then proceed to ask if I have credit card ... either Visa or Mastercard. If I ask them for any information they will hang up
These losers are something else. I keep getting calls saying I won a 125 GAS CARD and a 500 shooping spree from Visa or master card. Ask for date of Birth, credit card info etc. Filed a FTC compliant. From now on every time i get a call I intned to blow a very loud "hand held air horn" into the phone reciver. Perhaps that will get my MSG across to stop calling here.
