This number called me for the first time this morning, some lady left me a very rude message telling me to call her back. Her name began with an L but I couldn't pronounce it. She didn't say why she was calling and I know I'm up to date on everything so why do they call?
Just got a call from this number. They left a message asking me to call them back, though they didn't say who they were. I see that some above have labeled it Torres collection agency. They sent a letter to me a few weeks ago saying I owed a utility company, which makes no sense since I paid and closed the account some time ago, nor did I ever receive any follow up mailings from that company.
Jerks keep calling asking for my ex girlfriend. I told them i no longer speak with her, and they say "okay we'll keep calling" and hang up. I looked up the number and found this. So i call the 866 number and requested that they remove my number as i do not talk to her anymore. She said she removed it from the list. Well see how long that lasts.
The messages they leave are vaguely harrassing and suspicious. They call at night and during the day. They won't give their name or company. They say there is a matter on their desk that I should act on before it is acted on for me.
Keep receiving phone calls - on my cell (one wonders how anyone has my private cell number, as I never give this out!) - from 717-243-6637. The calls are at random times, on different days. When I answer, whomever is calling hangs up. I have tried to return calls to this number, but no one answers, and I do not get a voicemail message. Simply keeps ringing.
Is there no way to stop the calls? Can I block this number in any way? What ever happened to that Federal "do not call" list program? I have no idea why anyone would be calling and hanging up on me, especially using a number that is supposed to be secure!
