ComEd collection agency. My bill from an old address was 106.00 These people called me for over one year. I would always call them back and offer them .50 cents on the dollar. A freind of mine in the collection business always told me to never offer more than .50 on the dollar. They must have called 100 times or more they offered .84 and I would stick to .50 then one day they offered .74 so I knew they could negotiate One morning at 8:30 they called and I offered to split the difference. They said no. Remember their only tool to make money is phone calls. Its nothing personal for then so don't get upset, negotiate with them. People that work in collection agencies have problems too. And you can put the shoe on the other foot and grind away at them by calling them all the time and continuing to negotiate with them. Don't give them any power.
Keep getting calls from this number leaving blank messages on my machine. So annoying and it wont stop. They just called AGAIN as I was typing this!! I answered and he just kept saying "hello" No idea who it is or what it is but I hope they stop calling!
Just got a call from TCS. They would not say why they were calling but then said they would keep calling AND would not put anything in writing and send any formal demand via mail.
never give collection agencies any bank or credit card info! THEY WILL TAKE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND MAX OUT YOUR CARDS!
never deal with a debt collector - they will take your money and then resell you debt to another agency and it starts all over again. they are thieves and cannot be trusted!
If the debt is still within the statute of limitations -pay the original creditor only.
I do not have any credit cards and any debt I have owed or do owe, I take up with that particular company. I do not need them using up my cell minutes with the BS phone calls threatening me to pay my bills. I pay them when I want and/or when they are do. NO ONE CAN CHANGE THAT!!!! they called and left a message saying it was Mr Young and that they had personal and private information on me and that I should listen to it alone. gave me 866-756-6801 for Mr Young but why are they calling me?
