As they say there is a sucker born every minute. SS comes through as such not US GOVERNMENT. The specific agency will show up not THE UNITED STATES. Everything is done with paper backup so any refund or correspondence would have been preceded with a notification by mail.
I received a call this morning from this number. The woman started the phone call with "I'm calling to conduct a telephone interview... Do you believe that I am indeed calling from the SS office?" She sensed my hesitance and advised that they will send out another letter to me with the date and time of when they will call again as it seems that I did not receive the first letter. The caller was very courteous and professional. I'm still concerned as this makes no sense. She verified that she's calling from an office in Jamaica, NY. Why doesn't SSI set up a more professional call center where we don't have to challenge its legitimacy?
I see you're still spouting this trash.
I'm still willing to show the deposit and the follow up letter that I received from SS a week later to your district attorney.
Contact him and have him contact me and I will submit proof of my statements.
This is 2nd time I've stated this and you don't come through.
Stop misleading folks.
I got a call from 718-557-3000 this morning but I didn't answer it. First they called my cell phone and didn't leave a message, then they called my land line and I didn't answer it either. Came here to see who called. I got another call at 3:30 in the afternoon and the caller identified themselves by name as being from Social Security in regard to an application that I had put in, so this number is legit. he didn't ask for any personal information. No [***]! I'm on Medicare and SSDI.
