I applied for Social Security online 3 days ago. The website said they would call me. 3 days later they called from this number. They called my sisters house. I provided them with this number online when I applied, because I am staying there for 6 weeks for medical reasons. It seems legitimate to me. Almost every bit of personal information with the exception of financial account information is already easily available online.
