The phone number i keep receiving calls from is 718 5886585 ckaiming i have some sort of problems with my os. Need to connect to computer for them to remotely clean it and fix the problems. They had my name and emaik address as well.
Same deal, caller with accent says my computer is throwing errors...Has my phone # & email address...Just went out & got a canned air horn for his next call to leave his ear ringing...Should be money well spent...
This person called, same as everyone else. Windows 7 support, computer in danger, thick accent. From a TOLENTINO, G. I told him to take me off his list, I don't deal with anyone but Dell. He kept talking, again I said take me off his list. After saying this a several times I got frustrated and yelled on top of his talking to take me off his list and stop calling. He said he would call again, and again and again, and again. I yelled again "take me off your list and stop calling". He then said something that shocked me, He said " Pay me $100. I told him the call was being recorded and would be turned over to the district attorney's office and I hung up. I can't block anymore phone numbers - my call block is full. He called again today, I did not answer the phone.
It's sad that this is happening to U.S. citizens. As I see it, this is a form of terrorism. If you have Verizon Fios, you can block up to 100 numbers. Continue to report this to your local police departments cyber crime unit, District Attorney, U.S. Attorney, Federal Trade Commission, and your Congressperson and Senator. If you are a Verizon or AT&T customer, email or write the CEO/Chairman of both companies because the telephone companies should have the technology to prevent 'SPOOFED' calls from getting through to their customers. Hopefully the criminals making these fraudulent calls to the United States or within the USA will die a horrible death from cancer.
