I did some research and found out that Arnold Katz was a photographer who passed away in 2012 in New York City. He still has a photography gallery. But that may not be the person that represents the prank call there are dozens of Arnold Katz in the New York City area . But this is definitely fraud .
I did not answer the phone. Caller ID says Arnold Katz. I read on the page that this is a new MS scam saying your computer is spamming. He wants access to your computer so he can steal your financial and personal information.
I assume, based on the other comments, that this is one of those computer scam calls. I'd love to know who's selling people's numbers; they seem to be targeting retirees.
Can you believe this? Got a call at 7:10 AM on 4-27-16 (today) from Arnold Katz. I was still in bed. Did not answer as if I don't know the person or recognize the number I DO NOT ANSWER. I am 78 yrs. old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pissed
Call from 718 763-0616 at 5;18 pm. CALLER id; KATZ,ARNOLD.
I had blocked area code 718 since December, 2013 so I don't know what he wanted. I see there are 5 pages of reports on this number.
My advice to him is: Arnold, get a life!
