Person with thick accent claims to be from the U.S. Treasury and asks about an issue with taxes (for me, it was 2010 tax year). She gave a name and badge number. When I stated I had not been contacted about this matter, she asked why I was lying to an officer of the government. She then stated the records show I was contacted by mail twice about the issue. When I asked about the address to which the notices were sent, she hung up.
Same thing as above. Received a call from these guys and i decided to call them back. After asking if anyone has ever fallen for this and calling them a scammer, the lady told me to hang up the phone. It boggles my mind that there are people out there that have fallen for this.
I received the the same call. I told the caller that my son is doing time for a 10 year sentence of tax evasion, (not true), and that it would be a pleasure for me to be my son's cell mate. Then i asked him if he could have me arrested as soon as possible. He then hung up on me! (click). LMAO :)
Same caller saying to avoid going to jail to call him and "help us help yourself "; apparently Jerry Mcguire is a big hit in India. What he doesn't know is I gave his number to a friend of mine who is actually a special agent for the IRS, investigative division. Hope they serve curry the way he likes it in jail
