Thank god for 800notes. Got a call from this number, looked them up here and verified that it's a scam. Now I'm putting them on my Ooma blacklist. They'll have to spoof another number to get through.
Another phony charity scam. These people are shameless crooks. The same quent called me yesterday about another one of their scam charities, Kids Wish Network. I recognized her voice instantly. Today it is Breast Cancer Society. You can Google them at America's 50 Worst Charities. These same professional fundraisers work for them all. I believe they are the creators of the phoney charities. There is certainly a special place in Hell reserved for these crooks.
"Amanda" started with "you're harder to reach than my children.... Then she went on about breast cancer awareness. When I tried to break in to say "no, thank you, I'll pass on this" she kept talking.
I hung up and filed a complaint with the national do not call site.
I got a call from this number saying that they were with sirius xm and that my credit card payment did not go through and they wanted me to give them my credit card number. I never gave them any personal information and they did not even know my xm ID number. Go figure
