We have the Di*it**e call blocker on all our phone lines.
The Di*it**e is unique in that we can block entire area codes as well as full telephone numbers.
Currently, we have over 210 area codes blocked.
This number has never called us before but because we have the ENTIRE 720 AREA CODE BLOCKED, no matter what number they call from, THEIR CALLS CANNOT RING THROUGH!
OUR PHONES DO NOT RING AND OUR HOME IS NOT DISTURBED BY THEIR CALLS!
Please purchase a call blocking phone or device - they work and they are inexpensive
I don't think they are working from a random bank of numbers so they already know the number is good. I have two phones, one for home and one in my home office, both in my name. Often when these folks (any of the "service" providers) call one number (home) and I pick up and hang up, within 10 seconds or so they call the other number (home office). The numbers aren't in the same exchange and one is a land line and the other is VOIP.
I suspect they have a list of numbers by owner and feed that into the robo caller. After I hang up on them without answering a time or two the calls from that number stop, same as if I blocked them.
For me turning off the answering machine and "not answering" isn't practical or desirable. Sometimes I use my phony visa number and name (Ew R. Behnchad for those of you that speak Hindi) and mess with them for a while.
Shows "Out of Area" -- did not leave a message. I called the number back and it said they "could not complete my call, please try again". Blocked number.
