Well, even after I posted last I continued to receive phone calls from this company. Vented on the registry, actually had these guys call me at past 8 in the evening one time. I did find out that the company I got my home loan with had released my personal information and if I wanted my personal information kept to myself then I had to call a phone number to get taken off the list. They don't tell you this until 6 months after the fact and hundreds of harassing phone calls later! Since I removed my personal information from any lists (that I know of at the moment), I have not received a call from the Mortgage Inv again. It's still a bunch of bull that I have to spell it out that I want my private info kept as that, private.
I've been getting calls numerous times per day from this number and am just about to go crazy. No message is ever left. I saw someone else's suggestion to "*60" the number. Looked it up online and here are the AT&T instructions:
To activate Selective Call Rejection:
Listen for a dial tone and press *60.
Listen for the announcement of current "on/off" status.
Listen for announcements outlining the available options.
Press 3 to activate your updates.
It took just a minute and I hope this works to block these St Petersburg, FL calls.
I live with my fiance and he just purchased a condo. He was contacted by Mortgage Investors to refiance his VA loan. He thought this company seemed ligit so he set up an appointment for someone to come out and speak with him. The next day, he started doing research online and saw that this company isn't what they seem to be and cancelled the appoitnment online. Some came out to the condo anyways, and my fiance explained to the guy who was outside our door and his supervisor about how he had changed his mind.
My fiance accidentally gave them my phone number (it is 2 digits off from his) on the appointment apparently because they called me the next day. I explained to them what happened and why my fiance was not interested in the program and refiancing his mortgage. I also explained how my name is not on the mortgage and that this is not my condo (yet anyways until we get married ;-)). That was on Tuesday. Today is Friday and they have continued to call me 10 times. I have spoken with someone 3 different times and asked to be taken off their list. Still no luck. I just put my phone number on the "Do Not Call" Registry. I believe you have to wait 31 days to file a complaint. The phone # they have is my cell so I'm going to try to call the cell company to have the # blocked if the calls continue.
And in the meantime.... I will continue to fuss at my fiance for starting this whole mess.
First off you are not getting to the right people the people you were talking to are those that help the los the asst loan officers that make the calls are in another building. Let mje get this straight to your ignorant head we are not trying to bug nor are we wanting to call you if you dont wan to do buisness with us so you being immature calling over and over agin isnt going to help your problem nor is it our faults that your number is still in the syestem for us to call. You need to take that up with the higher up not us employess that sit a an computer all day and just make calls as they pop on our screen. We are a good company and yes we call people to much but as far as our buisness tactics work we are very helpful to our veterans and have been since 1980. We are the largest independent lender that serve our veterans and have helped over 300 thousand so you calling us is defintley not going to stop our money from flowing it just wastes your day and make you look very immature and letsw us know you have nothing better to do. You call yourself a vet then act like it and stop acting like a child and blaming those that dont have no control over the calls
We are a good company yes I can agree we call people one to many times but as far as how our buisness practices go we help alot of veterans over 300 thousand to be exact. What you need to understand people can change their screen names and keep making complaints cause they dont like the company or they are unhappy at the time when we called. You should be a leader and not a follower and not go by everything you hear regarding anything. You need to understand we been in buisness for 71 years and been authorized by the va since 1980 and if we werent a good company or a scam persay then the government wouldnt evn allow us to provide va loans if we didnt help our veterans. Instead of listening to this online crap from people you need to call your local va and ask them about our company cause they are the ones with unbias opinions. Makee a decision off the facts and not what people think and maybe your fiance can see for his self that we are a good company. I do apologize for the excessive calling and I wish I can take the numbers out of the system myself but I cant all I can do is apologize for the calling. Like I said make a decision off the facts and not opinions.
