I like to mess with them. I can usually keep talking to them for at least 10 minutes before I tell them that I only have Apple or Linux systems at my house. That really messes them up. Or I tell them that I spoke to a tech named Bill the day previous and ask if I could talk to him again as he was really helpful and got all of my problems squared away. I tell the guy that Bill and I went to different schools together, even though he is older than most people his age. The last guy that called couldnt comprehend that Bill is a name. So I said that he also goes by the name of William. The guy responds with the "his name is Bill William"? I about broke character.. I tell him, no. Bill Gates is his name. He then says he had never heard of a Bill Gates.
Received a call from this number today. The caller with a Hindi accent identified himself as "Your IT Support" and said that they have received error messages from my computer for Microsoft Office. I questioned him as to what IT Support he was referring too as I do have IT support at work. He just continued to state that he was from "Your IT Support" and that he received my information when I registered for Microsoft Office. I asked him which computer he was talking about and he couldn't answer. He just said the one with Microsoft Office. I told him I was busy and asked if I could take his number and call him back. He hung up immediately.
Man with heavy accent called my cell and knew my name. Told me he was calling from computer support. I told him I'm not stupid enough to believe that and he hung up.
call from 732-006-0001 scammer from NJ area code. I've received several call from this number claiming I have problems with Windows and that I told them "yesterday" to call me back. Scary thing is they have your name and act as if someone from your household made the initial contact.
