CID = New Jersey. I rejected the call. Judging from previous comments, people are beyond fed up with these types of calls. The phone companies need to find a way to stop this. They are in the best position to do so.
Hilarious scammer. So I got this call today claiming to be a technician and to go to my computer. So I asked who they worked for and they just said they are a computer technician. I'm like and who do you work for. They finally gave me some BS name. I said and how do you have my info. They said my computer has technical issues. So I know its a hoax so I decide to screw with the guy. After taking a while to confirm I'm in front of my computer. First he asks if I see the ctrl button. I say yes. He then asks what is next to that button. I then go on to say "nothing"
"What is next to the button"
"There is nothing next to the button"
"Are you looking at the ctrl button at the bottom left of your keyboard."
"Yes"
"What is next to that button"
"Nothing my keyboard ends there"
"No sir on the other side there should be a microsoft icon or fn button. "
"Ok"
"So what does this button look like"
"It's gray."
Some more about the icons on my desktop he has me go to chrome browser and asks me to type in something like abctech365. So I act like I'm typing it in.

At this point i start getting really silent. This way he'll have to turn up the volume for whatever he can. I finally claim that I'm on the site and he asks me what do I see. I tell him a picture.

my fax machine---On another post the writer says that there has been an increase in the number of scam calls---He is correct
