Yes it was WU, early in the day I had made a money order, andt the cashier mistakenly put the wrong state. I had to go back to the store & in order for WU to make the changes to the correct state they called me at the number I provide on the form, I was definatly pleased.
I made a western union transfer to haiti they refused to give the money to the person in Haiti. Immediately after I call Western Union to inquired why the money not delivered, I was given the number of the Compliance Department where I have to leave my name, MTC# leave my phone number and wait for a call bak. Immediately after a guy call me from the number 1-888-983-6846 asking me for info regarding the money transfer I sent. When I question his call he stated "mam I am trying to help me" and hung up after a few questions the man knew everything about my Western Union money transfer. From what others are saying this is a possible SCAM???
i received a call from this number at 3\10 am. i called western union to send my son some money, but when he got there the next morning to pic it up, it wasn,t in the system. so i called the them back to find out about why the money didn't go through the wanted to get my ss no to do a credit on me . thats when i relized i was scamed.
Got a call 11:23 pm from 732-694-2151 no one answered when I said hello I called the number back and it said they were western union. I called the number I had called yesterday and asked why they were calling me so late and the woman took the phone number and it was not registered to western union.
Received two calls from this number at 4:30 in the morning. Didn't answer the calls obviously because I was, or was trying to sleep. Found out this morning that I had $145 Western Union wire transfer that was made without my authorization. My bank called me this morning to verify it, and confirm I did not make that transfer. Now I need to get new cards, and figure out if this gets worse because my identity was stolen. Oh geez!
