They do not need to call my home after 9:00 at night. I find it hard to be nice to the "student" who: wakes my children three nights in a row with a post 9:30 pm phone call and who tells me that because they are a non-profit they can call my home at whatever time they choose.
Furthermore, I gave my annual donation already and don't appreciate repeated phone calls asking for more money.
I get these calls every year, and I repeatedly explain I am not in any position to donate, nor do I, as a rule, EVER respond favorably to phone solicitations. They never honor my request to be taken off their list, as evidenced by the fact that I got another call today. I will also not donate as President McCormick has, in his "wisdom", essentially eliminated the very identity of my alma mater, Cook College. I had his father as a professor for NJ History. He was an excellent professor. It's a shame that the son doesn't honor the history and identity of the college I graduated from. I DO, however, make a modest donation every year to the Agricultural Museum on the Cook Campus. I know they can use it.
I did not answer because my Caller ID read "Private," though oddly, also showed 732-839-2008 as the phone number. Interesting to see from other posts on this number that it was my alma mater, Rutgers. If they are truly calling just to "update me on what Rutgers is doing," as the voice message said, why do they not want the Rutgers name to appear on the Caller ID? Curious.
