They do not need to call my home after 9:00 at night. I find it hard to be nice to the "student" who: wakes my children three nights in a row with a post 9:30 pm phone call and who tells me that because they are a non-profit they can call my home at whatever time they choose.
Furthermore, I gave my annual donation already and don't appreciate repeated phone calls asking for more money.
I can appreciate the fact that students are making these calls, however, neither I nor my husband ever attended Rutgers. We have a son who is presently a senior there. So, obviously, they are not just calling alumni. They are also calling parents, who like us, are already paying more than enough to send our child there, and cannot afford to give any more to them.
They keep calling me and I'm a student. I told them to stop calling me and it didn't stop. This is my personal telephone number and I have not lived with my parents since I was 18 and Rutgers cannot get this message.
lol what a dick response... "Alumna" who says that? really.... why not apply it to every other greek words such as agenda. I know why? cuz nobody wants to sound like a freaking gwedo (yeah correct that one too cuz i dunno how to spell it) and while u at it proof read my "u"s
It's Rutgers and yes it's a fund raising call. If they called you, you're either an Alumni, they think you are or you have given them money in the past.
Myself, I am an alumni and I have given them money a number of times in the past, but they have gotten greedy recently and are trying to take advantage of my generosity. I just gave them earlier this year and they're already calling me again asking for more money. What's worse is that they are calling me at 9:30 PM at night. I don't want to deal with them at that time of night, so I added them to my blocked call list.
Congratulations Rutgers, you are the first organization I've ever added to my blocked call list. Here's a tip, annoying people is not a good way to get them to give you money.
Here's another tip for the people calling, call your administration and tell them to stop wasting money, then you wouldn't need to pester Alumni at all hours of the day. I could have told them that building a new football stadium because the football team had one lucky season, was a waste of money.
