This is clearly a scam. Caller said her name was Annie Johnson. Her accent was incredibly thick, and she spoke in seriously broken English. Dept of Legal Affairs my a$$...
Called by someone at this number. Identical routine as reported by others. They asked for my daughter. Threatened legal trouble if they did not get a response from her. No one in this household has fallen off a turnip truck and it will be a cold day in hell when we will respond. Anything legit will send by mail.
I just got called and they told me to call Jason Brown back at this number. The guy had a thick Indian accent and asked if I had received a letter in the mail. I said no and then he proceeded to tell me to call this number and ask for Jason Brown ASAP.
Heavily accented message from Adrian from the Dept. of Legal Affairs. This is a scam he said that my wife has a legal affair a pending. Had my lawyer look in to it.
Same as other posters. Obvious scam. Man with a heavy Indian accent left a long message on our answering machine that a legal action is being taken by the US Treasury. You could hear the buzz of other calls being made around him. Keeping it on my machine for fun. Who would believe this caller? Need to get rid of my land line!
Also got a call from this guy from this number many times for me and or for my husband. On this particular day he called for my daughter and like a mother bear the claws came out and i called him back and told him to NOT call this number again and that i had reported this number to the police and he called me a [***]!!!! Really! I am so tired of these calls ready to get an unlisted number!!!
