Although they did not leave a message, this is probably United Health Care wanting to send a nurse to your home to evaluate your health. A friend of mine did agree to this and he felt the nurse actually did give him some useful information. However, after some research, I found out the reason for this is not "out of the kindness of UNHC's heart". If you have health issues, they can charge Medicare (the Fed Go) more. I have a checkup twice a year and know the status of my health but UNHC does not get these reports. Personally, I do NOT trust insurance companies and will not permit a person to enter my home to gather health info. If they need this info, they should send documentation to me by mail and I will fill it in and take it to my physician. I not longer give out info on the phone, either. Finally, if this is a legitimate call, they need to leave a message describing what they are wanting. Otherwise, I will block the call.
I am getting calls from 763-200-9595 and 612-435-3765, sometimes twice a day. Caller I.D. says United Healthcare. It is a recording and no message is left if I don't pick up. I called the number on the back of my insurance card and spoke to two reps. that had no idea who might be calling me. Very annoying.
I've had millions of calls from UnitedHealthcare which I've missed. Most of them don't leave a message however one time I did actually get a recorded message indicating that they needed to do a health survey of my conditions and claimed it was required by Medicare once they became are Health Care coverage. I'm a former Ma Bell retiree also. I'm not certain whether we are required by any specific law to provide them with all of our current health conditions. I'm a little hesitant to think about doing so because of insurance companies like life insurance companies, medical maybe long term also, like to exclude you for pre-existing conditions. The recording indicated that they had made their last attempt to speak to me by phone I could call them back to give them the information or they would be sending me form through the mail that needed to be filled out and sent back. I believe there was something that came out also in regards to scheduling one of their in home nurse providers to come and evaluate you. Not sure as a ma Bell former employee what we should do in reference to this whether we should avoid giving that information or whether we are actually required to do it. But the phone calls are absolutely harassing and unlimited.
please see that the people dong this calling from 763-200-9595 are fined and punished for annoying calling ...they need to be disconnected from the availability of a phone...please find them and fine them to the extreme to discourage this type of phone call..I pay for a phone for my use ...not to be annoyed and disturbed during my day/sleep time
I also received another call from this number on my cell phone but did not pick up immediately. Since I have unlimited talk, text and data, I called it back and informed them that I had received prior calls and had also called the number on the back of my membership card. He said it was a courtesy welcome call and asked if I had any questions. I then said, I call the number on my card prior to certain things I need to verify coverage. I did not have to take UHC when I went on Medicare. I decided, since there was no monthly cost for that nor my prescription coverage other than the normal Medicare premiums we are all forced to pay, to try it for a year. It was my choice but after seeing the monthly premiums from other companies, I opted to try it. So far, so good. Now getting back to the phone calls, I hope there will be no others, No one tried to sell me anything.
